This is a neat idea. I think I’ll definitely join in on this. I’ve thought about doing the same over the years, but here you are to push me into it 🙂
I’ll start reading CARRIE tonight…
Just finished reading “Carrie” for the first time but might read again to see what I missed the first time.
I’m in the same boat as Kari. I’ve also considered doing this. Looking forward to the journey.
What a great coincidence. I started this same project myself earlier this year. I’m now at Different Seasons.
There’s nothing better than revisiting old friends by reading a Stephen King book. In a way it’s like losing your virginity, you always remember the first time you read it.
Awesome! Please encourage others to join us!
I just finished re-listening to Carrie (just not enough time to read anymore). One of the fun things about reading King is finding the character connections between books/stories. Just ran into Teddy Duchamp! So when was The Body first conceived/written? It was published in Different Seasons in August 1982–8 years after Carrie.
“The Body” was written immediately after King finished the first draft of ‘Salem’s Lot, before the family moved to Colorado.
Thanks, Bev. What about the inconsistency with Ralph? He died before Carrie was born but stopped Margaret from killing Carrie when she was 3.
I Think I’ll read along.
